We found our laid-back rainforest 5 acre paradise in Tidewater, Oregon, on the beautiful Alsea River, in 2003, after having lived and practiced small animal/exotic and avian medicine and surgery in sunny (HOT !) Patterson, California from 1988-2004.




Tidewater is located just 10 miles inland from the central Oregon coastal small towns of Waldport and Yachats ( pop 2,000 and 750), making this a very pleasant and unique location from which to enjoy the river and forest, as well as the ocean and sandy beach, with no smog or traffic to detract from the pleasure of living here.



After relocating to Tidewater in 2004 we decideded to go ahead and build a new small animal veterinary hospital, and Guardman's Veterinary Services & K9 Reproduction opened for business in January, 2006, thanks to contractor Chris Furnney making my ideas come to life with his talented hands.

We provide full medical, dental and surgical veterinary services for small animals, reptiles, birds, and small companion mammals always with a gentle veterinary touch....one owner and pet at a time.

Our hospital is equipped to provide xray, ultrasound, surgery, dental, and general and emergency medical services, including canine reproduction services for breeders of purebred dogs....semen evaluation, ovulation timing, artificial insemination, pregnancy determination, and cesarian section surgical services are all special interests of Dr Larry.
